About the Founder

Hi, I’m Kara! Quickly after graduating from the University of Southern California with a Bachelors in Psychology, I discovered a passion for creating special moments that spark connection and bring people joy. It began as a hobby and developed into a passion project. In 2015, life threw a curveball and my dad was unexpectedly diagnosed with a rare and quickly-progressing neurodegenerative condition. Originally a NJ native, I made the choice to move home and step into the role of his primary caregiver. While taking care of my dad, I simultaneously earned my Masters in Social Work from Fordham University. Through the beautiful and heartbreaking years I had left with my dad, I had a shift in perspective and realized that time and memories really are the most precious gifts. Amidst uncertainty, my mission became clear; to enhance the quality of peoples’ lives through unique moments.

So that passion project I started many years ago evolved and became my career focus. Inspired by the love, dedication, and life-elevating moments with my dad, Marc (also known as "MB"), Moments By Kara was born.

With a decade of experience, paired with my education and entrepreneurial spirit, I know just how to plan and execute moments that will leave an indelible and everlasting mark. There’s simply no greater fulfillment than bringing my clients’ visions to life and making moments that will be cherished forever. 

I currently live in Los Angeles, California. However, Moments By Kara spans the country, keeping me connected to my roots back East and everywhere in between. I would love to make a moment together and can’t wait to hear from you!
